Hi, I'm Loriano (from Venice) the referee of the tournament. My french is ugly (but my english is not very better).

For a lot of motives I don't play tournaments, so the only way for me to partecipate at them is making referee. I'd like to come at Nimes, but I ask myself if I'd find someone that don't play in the Tournament and want to teach me something beyond the rules (bypass what?...) and turn me from a counterpusher in a player.

All busy to win prizes?

Well, I understood. But for me the only way to partecipate to tournament is making referee. I think to be competitive but I play, for many reasons that you can read on italian forum of Openground, only for fun.

Ci puoi partecipare anche solo per il fun.
Sono andato per la prima volta in un torneo l'anno scorso, a Nîmes. Andavo per imparare, non per la gara. Ho perso tutte le mie partite, perchè sono una frana  :-D ! Ma mi sono divertito un sacco, imparando molto.

La gente che va a Nîmes ci va certo per la competizione, ma sopratutto per l'ambiente. E non c'è spirito da gara. Puoi proprio andarci !  ;-)

A l'anno prossimo, magari...

Version française : en deux mots, j'explique qu'un tournoi tel que Nîmes est avant tout un rendez-vous convivial. J'y suis allé pour jouer, et non pour gagner. Il n'y a pas un véritable esprit de compétition, mais plutôt un esprit bon enfant.

Surely I believe that almost all ASL players are cool and play for fun. I like so much ASL that every game I play give me a lot of fun also if I'm defeated. I've no problems to play with anyone, but for many reasons I explained in the Italian Forum I don't play games in tournaments. Sorry.

Instead I will be proud to partecipate (if i can) to some of the French Gatherings. I was in Paris in may, I looked for a club to play but I didn't find someone. I hope to return sometimes.

Per Memenne: davvero ho i miei buoni motivi. Comunque non sono contrario ai tornei, visto che ne ho arbitrati parecchi e non solo di ASL. Al limite per l'atmosfera potrei venire, magari solo per fare l'arbitro, se serve. Prima o poi ci si vede. Ciao e grazie comunque per il gentile intervento.
