[Réglé] MàJ impossible

Impossible pour moi, depuis déjà fort longtemps, de mettre VASL à jour. Avec la profusion (!) d'adversaires en FtF dont je dispose, pas très grave, mais avec les fêtes de Noël, ça devient plus génant.
Je suis en 5.0 et chaque fois que je tente une MàJ il bloque après 2% de chargement (attente des données). Aussi bien quand je lance 5.4 que quand je lance 5.1.

Tu mets a jour comment ta version : avec le webstart ou bien en installant le nouveau package sur ta machine ?

Contrôle que tu as bien la version 1.4+ du JRE installée sur ta bécanne. Si ça n'est pas encore fait, met à jour à la dernière version de VASSAL avant l'upgrade de VASL.
Au pire, tente une install offline en suivant les steps suivants:

You may run VASSAL without using a browser or even being connected to the internet. On Windows, Java Web Start will ask if you want to create a shortcut on your desktop to launch VASSAL. On Mac-OS-X/Linux, you can launch VASSAL directly with the command line
$JAVA_HOME/javaws/javaws http://www.vassalengine.org/ws/vassal.jnlp
If you miss the prompt to create a shortcut, follow these steps:
Run "Java Web Start" from the Start menu.
From the menu, select "View" and then "Downloaded Applications".
Double click on the VASSAL icon in the applications window and JSW should ask if you wish to create a shortcut. Say Yes.

J'ai eu le même problème pour passer à 5.3.
Sur SZO, on m'a donné les conseils suivants :
Start > Run... & type 'javaws.exe' (without quotes) and hit Enter. This will bring up the Java Webstart app, there are 2 versions that are slightly different, these notes refer to version 1.5.
- menubar View > 'All Types'
- menubar Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab > Shortcut Creation > 'Always allow', OK
- in the list of Applications, highlight the most recent 'VASL 5.0', right-click & select 'Remove Application'. This removes the (incomplete?) VASL.jar file.
- close the Java window, go to vasl.org & hit the 5.3 link, it should now be able to 'start over' on the d/l.
Les choses ne sont pas allées de soi, dans mon cas.
J'ai dû effectuer d'autres manips.

je ne vais rien taper de tout cela mon cher Robin, parceque je suis sous Mac.
je tente le coup de remise à jour de Vassal (sans VASL) et je vois.
