SUIS HEUREUX DE VOUS RELAYER L'INFO :  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  8)

reservez une semaine de vacances en septembre !!!

After the successful inaugural Event in 2003, we are happy to invite you to the?

"A Bridge Too Far 2004" Arnhem ASL Tournament !

The ASL Event will start on Thursday, September 16th 2004, when an Operation Veritable Battlefield Tour will take place. We will visit the Goch-Kalkar area of Germany and explore the HASL "Riley's Road" Historical Mapboard. We will then cross back into Holland and visit the Dutch War Museum in Overloon, Netherlands, which has a fine collection of WW II hardware. Thursday evening is reserved for friendly gaming at the Tournament Venue.

The Bridge Too Far ASL Tournament will then take place from Friday September 17th to Sunday September 19th, 2004. The tournament will be held at the Stayokay Hostel, Diepenbrocklaan 27, Arnhem, Holland. Next to an excellent gaming room, the Hostel offers its own restaurant, bar and various amenities.

The Bridge Too Far ASL Tournament is a five-Round Swiss style tournament, which has attracted an international audience. In each Round, the players will choose from three selected scenarios. After each round the players will face opponents with similar win-loss records, until a winner can be announced after round five.  Players also receive points for opponent win/losses, which will be used to determine final rankings in case of an equal overall record.

Our main objectives are to bring together a truly international group of ASL players (in 2003, we counted 8 nationalities) for a weekend of gaming. We will select exciting and balanced scenarios, but avoid tournament classics many people have played before.  The Scenario List will be announced in early July. The Programme and Themes for A Bridge Too Far 2004 are:

Day 1: Friday, 17th of September 2004
Round 1    09.00 ? 15.00      Bloody Partisans !
Round 2    15.00 ? 24.00      Bagration: The Destruction of Army Group Centre

boili voilou !!!
