A10.2 If an attack results in a 1MC and this
causes the elimination of a leader, do the other
units in the target Location take the 1MC before
taking the required LLMC?
A. Of course. [Gen22.5; An95w; An96; Mw]

A10.2 If a formerly unwounded leader is
eliminated by a fatal wound, is the resulting
LLMC based on his unwounded or wounded
values?
A. Unwounded. [Letter8

A10.2 Previous Q&A suggest that LLMCs are
based on the Morale and Leadership of an
eliminated leader as it existed immediately prior
to the attack that eliminated the leader. LLTCs
are based on the status of the leader immediately
after the attack on that leader is resolved. Is this a
fair characterization?
A. No. Both are based on the leader's pre-attack
ML and Leadership DRM – however, the UNIT's
post-attack ML is used
.
1) EX: If a broken 9-2 leader ELRs and takes a
mortal wound, the morale is still 9 and the
leadership is still -2 for the LLMC. If a 9-2 leader
breaks and ELRs, the morale is 8 and the
leadership is -1 for the LLTC.
A. Incorrect. In both cases the leader's ML is 9
and his DRM is -1
. [Letter212]

Citer
.2 says "A LLMC is always based on the unit's current Morale Level, even if that unit is broken or has a reduced or increased Morale Level... LTC is handled in the same manner as a LLMC except that if the LLTC is failed, the unit is pinned instead of broken."

An unbroken 8-0 leader and an unbroken 467 squad suffer a NMC : the leader breaks and ELR's to a 7-0 and the 467 rolls a 6, thus remaining unbroken and unpinned.

Does the 467 roll for LLTC (based on the original leader's 8 morale) or not (as the 'current Morale level' of the leader is now 7) ?

"I believe the 4-6-7 needs to take the LLTC.
I think the "currently lower Morale Level" part of A10.2 refers to the units taking LLMC/LLTC - not the leader causing such."

et "I believe that the leader's ML/DRM is based on the pre-attack values and the ML of units taking LLTC/LLMC is based on the post-attack values (i.e., if they break from the same attack that broke the leader, their broken ML is used, even though they were not broken when the leader broke)."
