Ok,

First off, the bad news. We have changed the preorder shipping rates and are in the process of resyncing the database to the new rates. Most US orders went up a buck or so, plus or minus 50 cents. Foreign airmail went up about $3 or so. Of course by now everyone is aware that the real kick is that "surface" mail is gone - so the people affected by the changes are the foreign people who chose the surface shipping option. This is gone, our table reflects the best price per weight, and we can't even begin to guess what the impact is, probably doubling shipping costs for items in the two to five pound range.

Here is the important part - if you do not want to pay this new shipping you should contact us immediately to cancel your preorder! You can email problems@multimanpublishing.com requesting cancellation of any preorders. We are sorry it has to be this way, but the "hit" by our buddies at the USPS was just too much for us to swallow this time.

What you will notice first is that Talavera is OFF the preorder list. Shipping of Talavera began today, and should finish by later next week. We will have copies at Origins, but you cannot pick up your preorder at Origins - we have no way to interrupt the process to "get" yours for pickup - sorry.

Red Star Rising had some production issues but the parts are scheduled to be available to us on Tuesday of next week. We will build a hundred or so for Origins. You will be able to pick up (AND PAY) for your Red Star Rising Preorder at Origins. Visit the booth, give the $ to Perry, get a copy of a pretty cool looking game (IMO).

ASL Action Pack #3 - Few Returned. A mystery 3" hairline white line of unknown origin appeared on one of the maps, so we're trashing thousands of copies of the map (shudder) and reprinting. Our printer can not get us these prior to Perry leaving for Origins, but the current plan is to get enough to build 48 to 72 or so on Thursday, and overnighted to Perry at Origins by Friday. He SHOULD have them on Friday. You will be able to pick up and pay for your preorder for Few Returned at Origins should they make it on time!

Ca va peut-être permettre aux revendeurs français de récupérer des parts de marché ?
Par groupement des commandes et donc minoration des frais de port pour elles.

Ce serait alors plutôt bon pour le wargame que les revendeurs reçoivent ce coup de pouce.

So a few weeks ago UPS comes into our office and due to our volume of shipping offers us an absurdly high 55% discount on international shipping - enough so to make it competitive with the US Post Office (who's trying to strangle small mailorder businesses into non-existance). And they offer the most prized jewel - tracking to the doorstep for deliveries.

I asked about other fees, no we've got the charts and WYSIWYG. We're on it! Set everything up, and begin shipping Talavera's, I think.

Within a week two complaints from Canada about absurdly high COD "brokerage fee". UPSs reponse? Those affect your customer, not you, your costs are reflected on the charts we gave you.

I'm freaking steamed. Barring a sudden reversal from UPS we'll be right back to that f'ing USPS for Canadian shipments.

But what we need to know is if you European/Japanese folks are getting hit with the same fees. Clearly the tracking is a big plus for us, but we're not going to let our customers get raked over the coals for that option.

So, Euro/PacRim folks, please email me at info@multimanpublishing.com if you've received a UPS order and what fees were required to get that order delivered to you.

I'll be out of town with limited, if any, net access next week. So please don't expect instantaneous response. Although by now I hope to have beaten that expectation out of you folks.

Donc c'est immédiat, vous avez le droit à la taxe souvent forfaitaire (grosso-modo 30 euros).
Pourquoi ? Car UPS/DHL/Fedex se font payer des frais d'administration pour cette collecte de taxe...

Au boulot, je reçois maintenant très régulièrement 2 types de factures de TVA de la part des braves gens en brun:
1) des factures pour des colis appartenant à d'autres destinataires
2) des factures pour des trucs sur lesquels la TVA a déjà été payée à la source!

M'énervent, m'énervent, M'ENERVENT!!!!!

Ha poil çà veut dire que toutes les commandes vont passer par ups!!

Si c'est bien le cas, je m'en vais annuler tous mes pre-orders, veut pas avoir
affaire à ces gens là!!

Personnellement je viens d'envoyer un mail à MMP pour demander confirmation ou si on a le choix entre UPS et US postal.

J'invite les français a faire de même, on sait jamais, sinon je crois que je vais aussi annuler mes pré orders.

Moi, je n'annule rien.
Si MMP change de système (revenant au service postal US), mes précommandes ne seront pas affectées par le présent problème, vu le train de sénateur que prennent les productions de nos amis...

Je suis philosophe...j'ai en preorder le truc avec les italiens et la campagne VOTG. On annonce la sortie  des scenarios ritals cool que je dis.Juste optimiste vu que je n'en suis qu'en 37 et que le reste c'est du 42 voire 43
